Position Profile: We are currently seeking Embedded System Security Engineer /Architect to work within a team environment to help architect, & design, embedded information assurance products from a security perspective. These IA products will be in support of, or integral to advanced wireless communication systems and high speed networking products. This position will include the application of information assurance principles and the use of state of the art technologies in helping L3 or our associated (prime or sub)-contractors obtain NSA certifications and DITSCAP/DIACAP accreditations.
Competencies: This position requires design, develop, and debug experience with (BSPs & hardware device drivers) running on embedded processors. The ideal candidate must be self- motivated, hard working, and willing to work within company defined development processes. Additionally, this candidate will need good communications skills to be able to help with all aspects of a program’s execution including bid and proposal, development, testing, deployment, & engineering support. This position may also require travel, presentation skills, and ability to interact with customers & vendors(both internal and external)in a professional manner. Having an active SECRET level or above DOD security clearance will be considered a plus.
Experience in embedded information assurance architecture and system design techniques is necessary. An understanding of network protocols and algorithms, including QoS, packet switching, routing, bridging, and filtering techniques is essential.
CCA design experience, FPGA or ASIC development experience, VHDL/Verilog design experience are preferred. CISSP certification will be considered a plus.
Qualified applicants will have strong hardware driver development experience using C/C++.
The successful candidate will have excellent documentation and specification writing skills. They will also have a working knowledge of network protocols including IP, Ethernet and/or ATM.
Qualified applicants will have BSP development experience with an RTOS such as VXWorks and embedded Linux . Proficiency with ClearCase CM is desired. Proficiency with UML is also preferred. -
Education/Experience: This position requires a BSEE/MSEE, BSCS/MSCS or closely related degree and 7+ years of related experience.
Special Requirements: Due to the nature of our work this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance.
Additional Comments: This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicants skills, education and experience.
