A little about Ambric... we are a fables semiconductor company with a twist – we have developed a revolutionary programmable IC platform able to avoid some of the well-known pitfalls of a FPGA while providing all the benefits of an ASIC. This new product will help electronics companies accelerate time to market for their products while also slashing chip development costs.
Ambric seeks an experienced Product Manager to co-lead the definition of software tools, HW features, and library functions for our next generation MIMD processor. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of system, software and HW development tools in a multiprocessor environment and a proven record of defining successful products.
Responsibilities:
* Work with customers to understand their needs and translate that into a clear and comprehensive product direction.
* Define product requirements in collaboration with Product Marketing
* Describe and prioritize product functionality and usage scenarios.
* Collaborate with developers to ensure the user interface of the product delivers the desired functionality while effectively supporting critical usage scenarios.
* Assess competitive products from a functionality, technology and usage perspective and provide feedback to the engineering and marketing teams.
* Prioritize and map features to specific product releases to ensure we maximize customer acceptance and satisfaction with the product.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years experience in a product development role with a minimum of 4 years experience defining product features and functionality.
• A minimum of 3 years experience creating software development tools.
• A minimum of 2 years working with FPGA’s and or DSP’s or
• A minimum of 2 years experience working with multiprocessor systems.
• Previous experience working in a dynamic start-up environment.
• A thorough understanding of modern software engineering processes and techniques like Agile, Scrum or XP.
• A proven record of defining successful products.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Self directed and highly motivated with a willingness to take the initiative when needed.
• Experience working with embedded products is a plus.
Education: MSCS or MSCE, or equivalent
Experience: 10+ years in a HW/SW development environment
