| Sr. Electrical Engineer |
|
This Senior Electrical Engineer position is part of the Advanced Communications Applications in the Digital Design Technology Group. The Digital Design Technology Group has the charter to provide common designs for CPU and modem designs for a wide range of communication systems and to apply emerging technology to meet the demands for the next generation products.
The selected individual will provide electrical engineering expertise to ensure the successful digital design for a wide range of communication systems through the full life product life cycle, proposal through production. This includes the ability to work across functions, develop hardware architecture, derive hardware requirements, perform technology trades, perform the digital design, and support system level integration. The engineer must be able to successfully design for high speed signals with highly integrated circuits to meet the ever decreasing size and weight requirements. Also, the engineer needs to be able to leverage the use of emerging technologies balanced with acceptable program risk.
Canidates should have experience with FPGA, DSP, and CPU designs. VHDL and digital signal processing experience if desired.
The candidate must be highly motivated, self directed, capability to work in a multi-discipline team environment, and work effectively in a team environment. The candidate must have good oral and written communication skills for conveying technical approach, trades, risks, and recommendations through both peer and customer reviews.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field or six years related exempt experience plus six years related exempt experience. |
