Job Summary: In this position, you will have the opportunity to design signal-processing algorithms and develop real-time implementations of those algorithms for Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), Digital Signal Processor (DSP), and microcontroller targets for embedded wireless systems. Nominal algorithms include FFTs, FIR filters, IIR filters, control systems, Forward Error Correction (FEC), and encryption/decryption algorithms associated with the development of state-of-the-art wireless communications equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone to exercise and demonstrate their technical leadership skills.
Minimum Qualifications: Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance BSEE, or equivalent degree. 5-7 years experience in signal processing and communications algorithm development and/or embedded hardware/software design, including the following: Knowledge of signal processing mathematics and MATLAB/Simulink Knowledge of wireless digital communications systems Experience in the development, simulation, and test of digital designs in VHDL, targeting FPGAs and ASICs, Experience in schematic capture and PCB layout of digital circuits for low-powered, miniaturized communications systems. Digital signal integrity analysis experience Embedded Software Development including the development of real-time applications in C, C++, C# and Assembly.
