  Position Description  
We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer to develop electromechanical subsystems for a new immunoassay product. The candidate that fills this position will be responsible for working with the hardware development team, creating analog and digital electronic designs, embedded firmware and FPGA code, motor drives, specifications and help with system module designs. The candidate will also create test software in C, C++, C# or Visual Basic. It is beneficial to have strong knowledge of electrical circuits, excellent troubleshooting skills, experience designing medical instrumentation and significant experience in team based environments. The selected candidate will report to the manager of electrical engineering.
•Define and evaluate designs for system modules and components of
electro-mechanical engineering systems
•Track and communicate project status, develop project schedules
•Document efforts via established procedures using CAD systems. Transfer technical documentation (drawings, specifications) into revision control system including creating and assembling Document Change Orders (DCOs).
•Establish mechanical engineering specifications. Identify critical design factors and risks that impact customer needs and regulatory requirements.
•Perform both empirical and theoretical analysis, interpret experimental data to formulate conclusions
•Fabricate breadboards and prototypes
•Develop test plans and test specifications
•Design verification experiments
•Participate on cross-functional teams. Explores alternatives by involving stakeholders in decision making and prioritizing.
•Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
•Monitors policies procedures and standards relating to Electronic Engineering Possesses relevant baccalaureate college degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or Masters degree(s) and 4 years of relevant experience, or PhD and 2 years of relevant experience or 10 years of relevant experience.
