Job Description:

  • RF/analog hardware design, responsible for successful circuit designs, including but not limited to synthesizers, filters, matching circuits, front ends, RF switching, small signal amplifiers, power amplifiers.
  • Support of radio system design tasks, including but not limited to field testing radios, waveform testing, software/FPGA interfaces, GPS and antennas.
  • Assist in the transition of new radio designs into the production environment, working with Test Engineering on fixtures and test requirements, and provide factory support on an as needed basis, to resolve yield and or obsolescence issues.
  • Proven experience with testing and troubleshooting radios and rf circuits using rf test equipment such as: Spectrum Analyzers; Network Analyzers; rf Signal Generators; Vector Signal Analyzers etc
  • Ability to produce clear and concise documentation of test data, and radio performance using MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and negotiate solutions among functional groups (Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering and others) is a key success factor.
  • Ability to mentor and direct junior engineers, taking responsibility for ensuring project activities are successfully completed to the required timescales.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BSEE is required.

 

  

Experience:

  • 5 plus years experience with design for high volume production preferred.
  • Experienced with modern rf circuit simulators such as ADS or Microwave Office
  • Interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment required.

  

Ability to obtain a U.S. secret security clearance.
